The past 2 days have been hectic as hell, tests, SPAs and fretting over the upcoming exams. Prelim 1 is so freaking stressful and the atmosphere between the muggers are so intense it sucks you in. I've been staying back these few days to mug on humans so it's like really tough. Ugh. Thank goodness for the company of friends and everyone who can put up with my constant lamenting and bitching about the day I experienced. I realised singing along to songs really relieves stress, spent like 30 mins going crazy in the PB room blasting music with Wei Jie. Rock on! Haha!
Anyways, today I had my bio SPA which was really cool 'cuz we got to test urine samples of different people who have different medical conditions. I doubt it was really urine though, I mean where would the school get urine samples? My classmate even commented that one sample smelt like barley, and another malt sugar... I tried to sniff the containers but it just felt so wrong.
So after school, I had my first Student Leaders' Circle (SLC) Session. Its basically a new organization that is fronted by the Senior Leaders. I was put in charge of the Clubs & Societies cos, you know, I'm in Air Rifle and Library Club. It was really an eye opener because I got to learn from the CCA leaders and also give them my opinions to help them in their decisions in choosing their potential leaders. It was really interactive and I felt really proud of those who turned up and also putting in the effort to discuss the problems and issues that they had encountered in their CCA. Also, it gave me new insights on how the different clubs worked. Apart from the digressing and bitching about some of the people in our little group, I would say it was definitely a success! And thank you, my fellow SLs for being there to provide inputs and guidance throughout the preparations. (:
So exams begin today for the other levels and I wish all my juniors all the best in their SA1. You guys have been doing great and I'm sure you yearn to do well in your academics!
Good luck and don't stress yourselves out okayrr?!
Well, I would like to share a little story with everyone. I recently finished reading this inspiring book titled Tuesdays With Morrie, it is a great book and it really makes one reflect on the values of life. So here goes:
"I heard a nice little story the other day," Morrie says. He closes his eyes for a moment and I wait.
"Okay, The story is about a little wave, bobbing along in the ocean, having a good old time. He's enjoying the wind and the fresh air --- until he notices the other waves in front of him, crashing against the shore."
" 'My God, this is terrible,' the wave says. 'Look what's going to happen to me.'
"Then along comes another wave. It sees the first wave, looking grim, and it says to him, ' Why do you look so sad?'
"The first wave says, ' You don't understand! We're all going to crash! All of us waves are going to be nothing! Isn't it terrible?'
"The second wave says, 'No, you don't understand.
You're not a wave, you're part of the ocean.' "
Hail Mary.
